Built like a cabin at the edge of a fjord.
Cedar & Stone opened in Portland's Pearl District with one goal: build a spa that feels like an actual retreat, not a retail storefront with candles.
Hygge, made local.
We borrowed our design language from Nordic bathhouses and cabins: raw cedar, soft linen, river stone, and a lot of quiet. No piped-in pop playlists, no fluorescent overheads — just low light, natural texture, and enough silence that your shoulders actually drop.
Every product on our shelves is naturally derived — cold-pressed oils, mineral clays, and unscented options for sensitive skin. We chose fewer, better treatments over an overwhelming menu, because we'd rather do a handful of rituals extremely well.
The design inspiration behind our rooms
Full photography of our finished Pearl District location is on the way. Until then, here's the material and mood palette guiding every room — the wood tones, light, and texture we're building toward.
